Llegamos a la Jornada 7 de la Eliteserien con un Sandefjord lanzado tras acumular 3 victorias consecutivas en liga y estar invicto en su feudo, el Jotun Arena. El conjunto de Andreas Tegström se levanto el pasado fin de semana, tras el batacazo en los 1/16 de final de copa contra el Sarpsborg 08, y sumo la 3ª victoria consecutiva en el Jotun Arena. El buen arranque liguero del delantero Stefan Sigurdarson, con 5 goles en 6 partidos de liga, hace que se sitúe el conjunto Noruego en 5ª posición en liga y a 1 punto de la fase previa de la Conference League. Un hito histórico para la entidad del club.
Esta claro que todavía queda mucho para llegar a ese punto. Solo estamos en la Jornada 7 y hoy, 16 de mayo, se realizara toda la jornada de los equipos Noruegos de la Eliteserien.
El rival ha tenido un inicio de campaña excelente. Actualmente líder de la competición, el Viking Stavenger, no pierde desde la Jornada 1, y es el equipo más goleador de la competición, con 25 goles. Aunque lleve 2 partidos más, aventaja en hasta 9 goles al SK Brann, segundo equipo más goleador de la competición.
